van der Sar Signs New Deal At Manchester United Until June 2011

Edwin van der Sar has today extended his stay at Manchester United, inks a new contract that should keep him at Old Trafford until the summer of 2011.

The veteran Dutchman had postponed the decision on whether to extend his stay after a difficult season, where he fought inury and encounctered fmaily difficulties.

The 39-year-old woman suffered a brain haemorrhage on Christmas the club know the keeper saw a period of care.

However, the situation has since improved and Van der Sar was delighed to have extended his time with the Red Devils.

“I still feel good and I enjoy my football,” he told United’s official website ..

“This is a great club and I found much sympathy and support during a difficult period in December and January, which I am very grateful.

“I look forward to winning more trophies with this great team.”

Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson echoed the joy of player gations, professionalism and lifetime of the keeper.

“Edwin professionalism and dedication to his work and the way he looks after himself he has the lifespan of the game,” said Ferguson.

“That life includes such great experience not only in the Netherlands but with Juventus, Ajax and internationally.

“We are delighted that he remains one years.”
