Wayne Rooney scored his hundredth goal Premier League Manchester United as the gap behind leaders Chelsea reduced to one point after a comfortable 3-1 victory at Arsenal.

Manuel Almunia, Arsenal goalkeeper had Nani’s deflected cross into his own net to give United the lead on 33 minutes before half Rooney added a nice counter-attack after four minutes later.

But United, who looked dangerous on the break, held on to complete a league double over their title rivals.
